The Great Indoors Design Route
Design walk through Maastricht, results of the workshop programme will be on show on five locations in Maastricht.
Five experienced and succesfull local entrepeneurs and organisations commissioned five groups of talented students to design a new interior for them, whilst working with the theme: 'Changing Ideals'.
Each group works on a different assignment:
A biological fastfood restaurant for two star restaurant Beluga; a hotel room for hotelier Camille Oostwegel; a new shop for Kiki Niesten and her Winkeldochters; a night shelter for The Salvation Army and an office for Paul Rinkens.

Lecture 'Blurred Visions: Architectures of Surveillance from Mies to SANAA'
Beatriz Colomina
Beatriz Colomina is Professor of Architecture and Founding Director of the Program in Media and Modernity at Princeton University. She is the author of many publications on the relation between architecture, culture and media such as 'Domesticity at War' and 'Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media'.
For The Great Indoors 2009 she will give a lecture on her current research on 'X-ray architecture'. It explores the intimate relationship between medical technologies for scanning the body and glass architecture from Philip Johnson's Glass house to SANAA's latest experiments.
