Last night The Great Indoors 2007 saw its festive and chique kick-off at Maastrichts 17th century City Hall. In the large entrance hall a special diner was hosted in honour of our international guests, the nominated designers, that had flown in - literally - from around the globe. Around a central floral still life (by designer Frank Bruggeman) they were treated to drinks & a grand diner with local delicacies. The Great Indoors was inaugurated by the alderman for Culture Mr. Jean Jacobs, after which both Guus Beumer and Robert Thiemann speeched. The evening saw a perfomance by music talent Nuo Si An studying at the Masters Department of the Music Conservatory.
