The Great Indoors Award 2007 – a new, biennial, international interior design award – invited designers, architects and clients to submit a project or projects in the following categories: Show & Sell (Retail), Relax & Consume (Leisure), Concentrate & Collaborate (Work), Serve & Facilitate (Public) and Interior Design Firm of the Year (open to architects and designers).

The Great Indoors was held for the first time from 16 to 18 November 2007 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

Fully aimed at making a positive impact on interior design worldwide, the biennial event consisted of:
* a conference based on a burning topic within the discipline
* a series of workshops and discussions on current policy issues, involving top designers, students and clients
* The Great Indoors Award ceremony, at which the best projects entered in the 2007 competition were honoured.

The Great Indoors Award concided with Woonevent Maastricht & Designroute Maastricht.
